Having built up a reputation over the years for superb fresh seafood from the Baltimore fleet and farm-fresh produce from the West Cork Area. Our food is our raison d'être.
We use the freshest of our own organic produce where possible in our restaurant in West Cork and our organic Garden produces fresh root veggies (Carrots, Potatoes Cucumber, Beetroot, Onions, Marrows, and Pumpkins), herbs, tomatoes and fruits, without the use of harmful pesticides and chemicals. If supply from our gardens is not available we carefully source our ingredients from the West Cork area using the West Cork Fuchsia brand.
Our on-site freshly prepared approach, can been seen throughout our menu and our kitchen prepares homemade brown bread, scones and cookies on a daily basis, we even use the spring water that is supplied from a deep spring well on the hotel grounds and mussels from our farm in Roaring water Bay, West Cork.
Quality is the keyword here at one of the much-loved Seafood Restaurants in West Cork and our fish is selected from the very best catch from the West Cork fishing fleet. We aim at providing a daily seafood special dictated by season but there can be as many as 20 varieties in the day’s catch of fresh Atlantic fish from West Cork coast of Ireland, ranging from Black Sole, John Dory, Lemon Sole, Monkfish, Cod and shellfish – (Lobster, Crab, Scallops, & Prawns).

Protein: Fish is high in protein which is needed for the growth and repair of all the tissues in our bodies.
Fat: Different types of fish contain different amounts of fat. White fish like cod may contain as little as 1.2% fat while oily fish may contains up to 200% fat. The fat in oily fish is high in polyunsaturates & very low in saturated fats.
Minerals: Fish - rich in minerals, containing calcium, phosphorous, Iron, Zinc, Selenium, and iodine.
These regulate formal body processes and ensure the proper use of other nutrients.
Vitamins: Oily fish like mackerel, herring and salmon, are good sources of Vitamin A and Vitamin D. These vitamins are essential for healthy bones and teeth.
Calories: Because fish, particularly white fish, is low in fat, it is also low in calories. Omega 3: Oily fish like mackerel, herring, salmon and sardine are a great source of Omega 3 - one of the essential fats needed for good health.
