Here at Caseys of Baltimore Hotel, in the beautiful & peaceful surroundings of the Village of Baltimore, Anne McInerney will provide tuition in watercolour painting for both beginners and experienced painters. Our painting courses are studio based, run by local artist with an emphasis on teaching in a relaxed but productive atmosphere. Painting classes are very small groups (6 to 8 people) which allows for a high level of personal attention where ideas and inspiration can be shared with like-minded people.
We aim to give you all the tutoring that you need in a friendly environment where students help each other and enjoy themselves.All that is needed is an interest in painting, a truly absorbing pastime at any level. Our aim is to help you make the most of your painting abilities and develop your own approach to brushwork, composition and colour.
Baltimore has plenty to offer a non-painting partner or family member whatever their age or interests from sightseeing to shopping, sailing, hillwalking, numerous restaurants, golf at Skibbereen. This vibrant seaside village with its incredibly beautiful countryside makes Baltimore a very special place indeed.

About Anne Marie:
 Anne Marie has over 20 years experience as an artist & teacher, covering various disciplines. She started out as a secondary school art teacher, with a degree from Crawford College of Art & Design, Cork, in Fine Art Painting, and went on to do Post Graduate Studies in Fine Art in University of Ulster, Belfast. Anne Marie moved to West Cork six years ago to concentrate on painting full time in her studio in Reengaroga, Baltimore.

Courses
Whether you live locally or are a visitor to the area, our courses are the perfect way to spend time in Baltimore. Lose yourself in creative activity and take home a memory of Baltimore.
Courses are tailored to suit individuals from the beginner to the intermediate painter and will cover all aspects of drawing composition, colour mixing techniques, brush skills, & washes.
Step-by-Step Painting
Students go through a fully tutored step-by-step painting, usually a landscape from Baltimore or Loughine Nature Reserve. We work from observation (weather pending), imagination, photography (photographs taken by students) and will draw inspiration from the Irish landscape painters both historical & contemporary e.g. Paul Henry, Roderick O’Connor, Jack B Yeats, Majella Collins O’Neill, Phillip Gray & myself.
I will demonstrate each stage, explaining and teaching the techniques I use. There’s no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to paint, and my aim is to share the skills I have acquired along the way and to encourage you to practice & develop yours and enjoy the experience!
The courses will held in Casey’s of Baltimore Hotel just 10 minutes walk from Baltimore Village. There is ample parking available and taxis can be arranged, if necessary.
