October 2nd Capetrail – a beach and coastline walk on the southernmost tip of Ireland with local people who will explain the edible seashore, local wildlife, rich social history and the Irish names of things and places.

Ferry at 12 noon from Baltimore, West Cork. Cost of return ferry Baltimore – Cape Clear 16 euro for adults, 8 euro for children. The walk is free of charge, please bring your own sandwiches and drinks. Wear suitable shoes for rocky trail.

This event is part of the National Trails Day initiative. Come to Oileán Chléire and learn about maritime and coastal features, local history and the Irish Language. It’s much more than a ‘guided walk’ and it’s free. Capetrail participants will be met on the pier in Cape Clear at arrival of ferry.  Please send a brief email to comhairlec@gmail.com to register.

On Sunday August 14th in the green of the Baltimore Holiday Homes the Soccer Club are hosting a Family Fun day starting at 1pm until 6pm.
Included in the events on the day are a soccer match between a Lifeboat selection and a Baltimore Soccer team selection with live commentary from Denis Kiely and live bookies also. Fun games for Children like Beat the Keeper. There will also be Barbeque’s and other food & drink stalls, face-painting and much much more. Please come along.
